Automated biobanking has become a cornerstone of modern biomedical research. Demand for high-quality biospecimens, standardized workflows and reproducible results keeps growing, and so does the need to store samples safely for decades. LiCONiC develops automated systems for the storage, incubation and management of biological samples for biobanks, hospitals, research institutes and the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. More than 8,500 LiCONiC systems are installed worldwide.

Design, engineering, production, testing and quality control all take place in-house at our family-owned plant in Mauren, Liechtenstein, certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. Right next door to Switzerland and in the same customs and currency area, we keep delivery, spare parts and service close to our Swiss users.

Our BiOLiX biobanking systems store samples from room temperature down to −185 °C and scale from compact units for 50,000 samples to cryogenic stores for more than 20 million. Redundant refrigeration, a no-defrost design and direct LIMS integration protect sample integrity and traceability. The modular platforms support translational research, precision medicine, cohort studies, compound management and cell and gene therapy, and they grow with your collection.
