Genome of Switzerland: Mapping Swiss Genetic Diversity to Enable Personalized Health

Katrin Männik (PhD) is a human geneticist working on the implementation of personalized medicine and genomic data governance. She is currently Chief Operating Officer at the Health 2030 Genome Center in Geneva and Senior Specialist in the Genetics and Personalized Medicine Clinic at Tartu University Hospital.
Her career has followed the global evolution in human health genomics — from training in rare disease genetics and molecular diagnostics at the University of Tartu, to research in complex traits at the intersection of medical and population genomics at the University of Lausanne and the Estonian Genome Center. Since 2019, her work has focused on the implementation of genomic medicine and translational aspects related to the use of genomic data in healthcare.
She is actively involved in national and international projects aiming to advance personalized medicine and to build resources and capacity for data-driven healthcare transformation.
