Scaling up the reuse and sharing of health data and samples for better research
Antoine Geissbühler is a Professor of Medicine, Dean of the faculty of medicine the University of Geneva, Director of teaching and research, and chief-physician of the Division of eHealth and Telemedicine at Geneva University Hospitals. He is also the Past-President of the International Medical Informatics Association, and Fellow of the American College of Medical Informaticians.
Trained in internal medicine at Geneva University, he was appointed Professor of biomedical informatics at Vanderbilt University, then returned to Geneva in 1999 to lead the development of the clinical information systems at Geneva University Hospitals.
Author of 200+ scientific publications, his current research focuses on implementation and evaluation of the impact of digital health tools to improve the efficiency and quality of care processes, at the local, national and international level, with the creation of the Geneva Digital Health Hub, a global platform to support science-based decision and policy making in digital health.
