Susanne Driessen, MD, chairs the Ethical, Legal and Social Advisory Group of the Swiss Personalized Health Network (SPHN). She is President of the Ethics Committee of Eastern Switzerland and served for more than a decade as President of swissethics, the national umbrella organization of Swiss research ethics committees. She also serves on the University Council of the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Alongside her work in research ethics and governance, she practices as a physician at the Breast Center and Hospiz St.Gallen. Trained in hematology and oncology, as well as in genetic counseling and pharmaceutical medicine, her work focuses on the intersection of ethics, law and science, with particular attention to the ethical challenges of digitalization, genomics and value-based approaches in research and society.
